Day 1: arrival and a first night in Paceville
Drop your bags and get some sleep, because clubs start late: TwentyTwo, Toy Room and Sky Club usually open at 23:00. Staying in St Julian's means you can walk home and save on taxis. Have an easy dinner and pace yourself: the big night is tomorrow.
Day 2: pool or boat, then a night out of St Julian's
Sleep in, then pick your water plan: a daytime pool party at Toy Room Beach Club in Tigné, or a boat party. After that, shower, dinner and a short nap.
At night, change scene: Gianpula Village in Żebbuġ or Café del Mar in St Paul's Bay. Before you head out, check the listing for last entry and the way back; some tickets include transport from St Julian's and others don't.
Day 3: a bit of the island before you leave
Choose according to the hours you have left, without rushing.
- Full day: head out to Comino and Gozo on this cruise, swimming and resting on board.
- Half a day: Valletta on foot, with its walls and the Upper Barrakka Gardens.
- Afternoon only: Mdina, the old walled city inland, once the heat drops.
If you're going in winter
Open-air venues, pool parties and boat parties depend on the season, so don't plan around them. Nights lean on the Paceville clubs and whatever winter editions or special nights are on sale.
Use day two to take the ferry to Gozo and climb up to the Citadel in Victoria, and save day three for Valletta and Mdina. Evenings get chilly, so pack a jacket.
