Café del Mar Malta: pool and sunset in St Paul's Bay

Café del Mar is located in St Paul's Bay, in the Qawra area in the north of Malta. It's an open-air seafront venue with an infinity pool and postcard sunsets that dip right behind St Paul's Islands. Nights start early here: most events open around 20:00, so you arrive in daylight and feel the switch from golden hour to full party.

Thursday pool party, White Edition and headline DJ nights

The weekly fixture is the Thursday Pool Party, running every Thursday through the summer with international DJs, people from all over the world and the sun sinking into the water. In 2026 it ran from 20:00 to 01:00 and sold out many weeks. The White Edition is its dressier twin: a sunset party with a strict all-white dress code.

On top of that, Café del Mar hosts special electronic music nights. In 2026 the line-ups included Bob Sinclar, Claptone, CamelPhat, ARTBAT and Argy, plus a UK garage and R&B pool party that went from midday into the small hours.

Tips for Café del Mar Malta and how to book tickets

My number one tip: get there early. For the Thursday pool party, aim to be inside before 22:00 so you catch the sunset and skip the queues. Entry is 17+ with original photo ID, so don't leave it at the hotel. Going to the White Edition? Head-to-toe white.

Book ahead, because peak summer weeks fill up. Through my site I take you to the official ticketing platform and you get a QR code for entry. 2027 dates are usually announced in spring, and they'll appear here as soon as they're on sale.
