The club takes up Level 22 of the Portomaso Business Tower in St Julian's, a few minutes' walk from Paceville, Malta's main clubbing strip. It's an indoor, air-conditioned venue wrapped in glass, so the St Julian's skyline and the Mediterranean are part of the decor all night.
Expect a dressed-up crowd of locals and visitors from all over, with a good balance of guys and girls. Nights usually run from 23:00 to 04:00. It's the place I suggest when someone wants a classy night out rather than another bar crawl.
TwentyTwo parties: White Party, Ladies Night and French nights
Every night has its own concept. In summer, Thursdays have hosted Glam Night, built around an old-money dress style, and French Night Fever; Fridays are Ladies Night; Sundays bring French Night with the latest French hits; and September Saturdays switch to Starlight. The White Party, with everyone in white, is one of the most requested nights.
Outside the main season the club opens for special dates such as its Halloween party, where a costume is part of the fun, and there are themed editions like carnival or colours. The DJs mix national and international sounds, so you don't need to be a music buff to have a great time.
Tips for your TwentyTwo night and how to buy tickets
Dress up: smart casual leaning elegant is the norm, and on themed nights you follow the theme (all white for the White Party, a costume for Halloween). Get there early, because peak summer dates fill up and some parties have closed their doors at 02:00. To get home, a taxi or an app like Bolt or eCabs is easiest.
