Partying here has a more glamorous edge than on other islands: lots of style, electronic music and an international crowd that comes to enjoy summer on the Aegean. Days start late and on the beach, and nights move between the town and the clubs.
It's a small island, so on a single trip you can easily mix beach, sunset and club without long journeys. Just bear in mind that everything fills up in peak season, and that's where planning ahead makes all the difference.
Beach clubs, sunsets and nights out in Chora
The beaches on the south coast, such as Paradise, are famous for their beach clubs and day parties. As evening falls, the classic plan is watching the sunset in Little Venice, by the windmills, before wandering into the narrow streets of Chora, the main town.
From there, the night carries on in bars and clubs until very late. My advice: book the big parties you really don't want to miss in advance, and leave room to improvise the rest. If you're travelling as a group, agree on the key nights early so everyone buys tickets together.
