Nightlife is concentrated in the south, between Playa de las Américas and Costa Adeje, just a stone's throw from the sea. There's something different on almost every night of the week, so it's easy to line up several nights out during your trip.
The crowd is very international, and the mix covers clubs, beach clubs facing the Atlantic and disco bars. With mild weather all year, the season doesn't end with summer here: the party carries on through autumn and winter.
Papagayo, Monkey Beach Club and more: where to party
Papagayo is the big meeting point, and each night has its own sound: funky, house and classics, Latin tech and Afro house sessions, disco and the Glow Night El Nido. Mala Mía Club runs nights such as Nasty, Urban and Chicas al Poder, while WILD Tenerife, a disco bar, hosts Guayeteo and Tumbao.
If you'd rather be by the water, Monkey Beach Club throws an evening White Party with an all-white dress code, and OA Beach Club hosts beach parties that kick off in the late afternoon, with the sun setting over the Atlantic. On special dates like Halloween, the party moves to the beach too.
Tenerife party tickets: Elena's tips
Buy before you travel: tickets come in batches and the first ones are the cheapest, and some nights include a drink and a shot with your ticket. Check the last entry time as well: at Papagayo it's usually 1am, so don't leave it too late.
